Art in the Country Coastal
Artists and art lovers across KZN are counting down the days to the first-ever Art in the Country Coastal art exhibition. 1–4 October at Collisheen Estate in Ballito. The coastal edition of Art in the Country meets a pent-up demand for a platform that makes quality art accessible to the public. Convenor Kathy Jacob and her A-team bring loads of experience to the party after hosting the phenomenally successful Midlands edition over the past five years. Visitors will be treated to great art, tasty food and fabulous music, headlined by the ever-popular René Tshiakanyi on his saxophone. Entry is R50 per person and R30 for pensioners.

Cinderella
This year’s KickstArt pantomime at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre is a magical production of everybody’s favourite fairy tale about the kitchen maid with the heart of gold. The lush sets and gorgeous costumes, toe-tapping songs, jokes aplenty, and masses of local references and audience participation are family entertainment at its very best! The all-star local cast features Roshanda Lewis as Cinderella, Blessing Xaba and Rory Booth as her Ugly Sisters, Mthokosizi Zulu as Buttons, William Young as the Prince, Lyle Buxton as Dandini, and Amahle Tembe as the Fairy Godmother. Performances are scheduled at 14:00 Tuesday to Friday, 11:30 and 15:30 on Saturdays, and 14:30 on Sundays, from 3 December to 10 January. Tickets available on Webtickets.

Old Mutual Music at the Lake: Heritage Day
The celebrations continue on Thursday, 24 September 2026 with an unforgettable concert from Sjava, Simmy and the Q Twins. Together, they represent the richness of modern South African music; the concert is a celebration of local talent that has proudly carried the sounds of KZN onto national and international stages. Bring your picnic blankets and camping chairs, and food and drinks are welcome. Gates open at 13:00, and tickets are available online from Webtickets.
