Nazrana Premlall is the beautiful retail leasing consultant for KZN, for Growthpoint Properties. She is married to her best friend Praneel and is a mother to gorgeous teenage daughter, Payal. - What is your favourite restaurant to eat brunch at, in Umhlanga?
Vovo Telo in the Umhlanga Village - the Durban ‘beach’ vibe on this stretch with the best morning dose of sunshine, not to mention the poached eggs with the coriander aioli makes this a firm favourite lunch and brunch spot for me!
- Best place to grab a relaxing cup of coffee?
I love ‘I Want My Coffee’ in Umhlanga Ridge. It’s located next to my office and they have the best vibe, chai latte and awesome service by the manager, Sam and his team.
- Favourite place to relax when the weather is good?
Beverly Hills Sundeck or Elements downstairs – with a view to die for, a glass of bubbly, a bowl of olives and feta, makes this venue every lady’s momentary dream escape!
- Where do you like to work out?
If it’s outdoors, then long walks on the beach promenade with my very frisky Maltese - Lumpy and overweight Bulldog – Biscuit. And if it’s indoors, then La Lucia Mall Virgin Active: I love the comfort and intimacy compared to other options. My soon to be a new favourite spot for my summer bod is Umhlanga’s Movement X, Durban’s ‘hottest’ new fitness movement to hit the 031!
- What do you see as Umhlanga’s hidden gem?
The Square Boutique Hotel has an amazing rooftop pool deck which has the most breath-taking view of Durban…and a gorgeous day spa. I’m not sure if most people in Umhlanga have discovered its beauty even though it has been around for a while, but I love it!
- Favourite place to shop?
La Lucia Mall in Durban – after 40 years of existence, this sophisticated ‘grand lady of shopping’ is still my mall of choice and offers the most exclusive, convenient and niche shopping experience.
