My Town – Majozi

Nhlanhla Majozi has turned the Ballito music scene, easier than he spins his trademark hat on his finger. ‘Maj’, as he is affectionately known, is rippling the airwaves with his unique folk sound; his music is always tinged with a powerful message. His latest single ‘Fire’ is burning up local and national radio stations. In his words: ‘I love God. I love music. I love people. That’s who I am’. We caught up with our golden boy to hear all about his Ballito faves…he’s still a local boy at heart!

1. What is your favourite restaurant to eat brunch at, in Ballito?

The Delish Sisters, for sure

2. Best place to grab a relaxing cup of coffee?

Without a doubt. Wonderland coffee

3. Favourite place to relax when the weather is good?

Sadly at home. Ha ha

4. Favourite weekend activity?

Playing outdoor gigs. I love that, especially if its a sunny afternoon.

5. Where do you like to work out?

Have you seen me? I don't work out ha ha

6. What do you see as Ballito’s hidden gem?

The beaches and the ocean. We have such a beatiiful coastline.

7. Favourite place for a day out?

That never happens for me, but I guess The Delish Sisters for some delish Turkish Delight cheesecake
